Summer Programs

Each summer a variety of activities are offered for all ages including recreational day trips and day camps.  The Activities Guide provides details and is published each spring or call our office and ask for the Recreation Manager.

Summer Opportunities

The WOW program explorers component (World of Work) offers a protected transition and exploration opportunity for teens and high school students (16 years and older) who want to explore summer-time work and learn more about the reality of the work world.

Sunblast

Sunblast is a summer day camp program jointly offered by the Sunblast Parent Committee, KidsAbility, City of Cambridge and Community Living Cambridge.  The playground is designed for children with disabilities, their siblings, friends and neighbours.  Participants must be between the ages of 5 to 12 in the calendar year.  Some exceptions may apply.   The program runs 5 days week throughout the summer.  Each week participants enjoy a special theme with games, arts and crafts and fun activities related to the theme planned each day.  Registration packages are available through KidsAbility or call 621-7580 to request a package.

  Monday June 14, 2010 Exhibition Place, Toronto Cost: $45.00 per person Bus departs Operations Centre Parking lot at 8:30 a.m. an returns at 2:00 p.m. Lunch includes: garlic bread, oven roasted chicken quarter, sweet corn cobette, herb roasted potato, chocolate chip cookie, water or Pepsi.
